You Can’t Predict When Something Might Happen at Your House

I have spent a lot of time speaking with a lot of home owners recently about the security in their home. I am attempting to acquire some insight on the different ways our homes become at risk. I asked each person I spoke with if they had ever witnessed any suspicious activity on their property. A burglary, a broken window, a suspicious person – anything. Almost everyone had at least one story for me. Most of the experiences eventually led them to purchase a home alarm system. I have been told that Delray Beach Home Security is one of the more reliable choices.

One gentleman said that he was home for the afternoon one day, but left to go pick his son up from basketball practice. When he and his son got back roughly ten minutes later, one of his windows was shattered and several things were missing inside. He suspected that he was being watched, and the burglar knew when he left. A different mother of three explained to me that she opened the door to a man who claimed to be a salesperson. After the man pitched his sale, he asked if he could come inside to talk it over with her. She declined, and he again replied by asking if he could still come inside and use her phone. Considering this man was being persistent, she again declined and shut the door in his face.

We have all had our encounters with suspicious people and situations. Some are worse than others, like the first man’s experience. The information I am getting helps me figure out what motivates people to get a alarm system. The second woman said she quickly decided to get one the following day.

I have heard a ton of identical stories from other people. People never know what is going to happen on a specific day. I am convinced these two people did not wake up thinking something unusual would happen that day. It really highlights the importance of being prepared.
