Home Safety Stories
I have spent a lot of time talking about home security with many homeowners. I am trying to get some insight on the different ways that our homes can become at risk. I asked each person I spoke with if they had ever experienced any suspicious activity at their home. It could be robbery, broken windows, a suspicious individual – anything. I was surprised that almost everybody had at least one story for me. Many of their stories eventually led them to buy a home security system. I have learned that www.kansashomesecurity.net is a choice that people people have gone with.
One individual said that he had been home for the afternoon one day, but left to go pick his little boy up from hockey practice. When he and his son returned about 10 minutes later, one of the windows on their house was shattered and a few things were missing from inside. He seemed to think he was being watched, and the burglar knew when he left. A different mother of three informed me that she once answered the door for a person who claimed to be a salesman. After the guy finished speaking, he asked if he could talk it over with her inside the house. She declined, and the man again replied by asking if he could at least come inside to use her telephone. Since this man was being persistent, she again declined and shut the door in his face.
We have all had encounters with suspicious people and situations. Some are worse than others, like the first man’s experience. The information I am researching will help me determine what moves people to install a home alarm system. The woman said she chose to get one the following day.
I have learned about a ton of similar stories from other people. People never truly know what can happen on a certain day. I am sure these two people did not wake up that morning assuming something abnormal would happen that day. It definitely highlights the value in always being proactive.
